Founded in 1979 by then-owners Jim and Cherie Feehan, American Auto Body quickly became a community standout with its dedication to quality work and customer satisfaction.

About a year later, the North Minneapolis-based shop moved to a larger facility in Osseo to accommodate the breakneck pace at which it was growing. A newer and larger Brooklyn Park building was constructed in 1994.

In 2006, the Feehans retired and sold the company to their eldest son Matthew, who has been running the business ever since.

Matthew’s 28 years of collision repair experience includes knowledge of every aspect of operating a collision repair center. His proficiency extends to and beyond areas such as general maintenance and detailing, repair technician, painter, and general manager. Matthew attended Hennepin Technical College for auto body repair and is certified by both the Inter-Industry Conference on Auto Collision Repair (I-CAR) and the National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence (ASE).

From the beginning, American Auto Body’s goal was to create a comfortable and clean auto center that felt like more than a regular collision repair shop. Having joined the Fix Auto USA family, Matthew and his team can provide that same level of trust, commitment, care, and competence backed by a united and unparalleled support system.

For Matthew, the arrangement just makes sense: “Joining Fix Auto USA is the culmination of an extensive evaluation as to the best way for me, as an independent operator, to continue to prosper in a rapidly changing marketplace,” he said. “By becoming a Fix Auto USA Franchise Partner, I will immediately gain access to a network of others that care deeply about my business, and there’s a lot of comfort in that.”

With a reputation as market leaders, Fix Auto USA is a network of more than 150 collision repair shops nationally. Each is supported by the Fix Auto brand and is individually owned and operated, balancing the security of an industry leading organization with the hospitality of a traditional neighborhood enterprise.

Only the best and most trusted collision repair businesses are invited to represent Fix Auto USA. Each owner-operator, or Franchise Partner, is subjected to a comprehensive evaluation before being approved to join, so you can be sure the high standard of master workmanship and exceptional customer experience is upheld across the board.

The Fix Auto USA family strives to deliver consistent, quality, and timely repairs, using the latest technology to assure your vehicle receives safe and superior repairs every time. Additionally, repairs are guaranteed for as long as you own your vehicle* and are honored at every location.

With shops now in Minnesota, Fix Auto has expanded to its tenth state and stretched its brand’s mark in the Midwest region. Other franchise locations can be found in Alaska, Arizona, California, Colorado, Idaho, Illinois, Nevada, Oregon, and Washington.

The newly anointed Fix Auto Brooklyn Park and Fix Auto Maple Grove remain locally owned and independently operated by the same knowledgeable teams that have provided top-notch auto repair service since 1979. The name is all that has changed.
